Helen Elizabeth Larson, age 93, of Mondovi, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at Heritage of Elmwood Nursing Home, Elmwood, WI.
She was born Helen E. Urness February 27, 1926, the daughter of Alvin and Ethel (Thorson) Urness. She was baptized, confirmed and attended Sunday School at Central Lutheran in Mondovi.
She graduated from Mondovi High School with the class of 1943. After graduation, she worked for Dr. Roy Lee at the dental office.
On June 22, 1947, she was united in marriage to Edgar T. Larson at Central Lutheran. To this union three children were born. Edgar passed away August 7, 2003.
She belonged to Trinity of Norden, teaching Sunday School, belonging to the Bible Study and the E.L.C.W.
Being Norwegian, she belonged to the Sons of Norway, volunteered at the American Lutheran Home, and worked at Burger King.
She enjoyed vacations in California, Yellowstone National Park, Black Hills, Niagara Falls, Nashville, and attended a wedding in Little Rock, Arkansas.
She enjoyed baking, gardening, reading, and taking care of animals on the farm. Most of all, she enjoyed being with her family.
Her strong faith in God was present in her daily life and she was a strong witness to everyone.
Helen will be missed by her three loving children, Gary(Sue) Larson of Mondovi,
Ron (Jean) Larson of Maple Grove, MN, and Jim Larson of Oak Grove, MN. She is also survived by grandchildren Lucas (Jennifer Grossell and girls) Larson, Crystal (Derek) Jacobson, Paul (Kristine) Larson, Sean (Kelli) Larson, Luke (Holly) Larson, Matt Larson and Kelsey Larson. Surviving great-grandchildren are: Xarion Larson, Tayden and Logan Jacobson, Jack, Anna, Mallory, Melanie Larson, and Anthony and Amalie Larson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and dear friends.
Besides her parents and husband, Edgar, Helen was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen, and her brother, David. Also brother-in-laws Lorn (Edith) Larson, Grant (Phyllis) Larson, niece, Amy Weizenegger, daughter-in-law Michelle Larson, and grandson, Dravin Larson.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity of Norden Lutheran Church in the Town of Naples, Buffalo County, WI with Pastor Kermit Solem officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 13 from 10:00 AM until the hour of the service all at the church.
