Harold Anderson

Harold Duane Anderson, age 89 , died on April 7, 2014 at his son’s home. Harold is remembered as a wonderful husband, dad, grandfather, and friend. Harold was born to Smith and Mary (Borgwardt) Anderson on June 26, 1924 at home in the Drammen Township, Eau Claire County. He attended Oak Grove School as a youngster and was confirmed at Drammen Lutheran Church. Harold married Margaret Ann Jenneman on July 23, 1949, a marriage they enjoyed for 56 years. Harold provided for his family through different careers including farming, construction work, and as the owner of H&D Implement. He loved to buy and sell machinery and made many friends across the midwest. Harold is missed by his children, Dennis (Melanie) Anderson, Diane Moen, Debra (Scott) Anderson. Harold was very proud of his 10 grandchildren that include Dennis' children, Graham, Shelby, Daniel, David, Victoria and Jessica, Diane's children Melissa and Mallory and Debbie's children, Alex and Sedona. He was pleased to have been part of his great-grandchild's life, Vanessa, daughter of Melissa. Harold was preceded in death by his wife, parents, siblings Gladys Lawrence, Alice Lawrence, Garfield Anderson, half-siblings Leonard Hollister, Mildred Hanson, Laverne Hollister, and Galen Hollister as well as his son-in-law Randy Moen. Harold had a favorite prayer, “In the quiet of God’s presence, we welcome this new day. We humbly pray for guidance, keep us on the narrow way. Help us do for others, greet them with a smile. Lend a helping hand and walk the extra mile. Grant us an inner peace that only you can give. A serenity that will last as long as we shall live. And when this day is over, cares all laid aside. We’ll give God all the glory, our master and our guide.” Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 11 at 11:00 AM at Drammen Lutheran Church with Pastor Rolf Morck and Chaplain Gary Preston officiating. Burial will follow at Drammen Lutheran Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 10 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the Talbot Family Funeral Home, Mondovi chapel and again on Friday from 10:00 AM until the hour of the service at the church.
