Gregory Yapp

Gregory Yapp, 63, of Huron, SD, died Dec. 8, 2012, at the Huron Regional Medical Center. Greg was born December 1, 1949, to Robert and Carol (Lankey) Yapp in Madison, WI. Greg attended and graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He married Linda Salwey on June 21, 1975, in Waumandee. Greg was a resource conservationist for the NRCS, retiring on December 31, 2010. Greg was an avid golfer, and enjoyed hunting and being the tree trimmer for the family farm. Spending time at the farm with family and friends was his idea of a perfect vacation. Greg was preceded in death by his father, Robert and parents-in-law, Lloyd and Donna Salwey. Those left to cherish Greg’s memory are his wife, Linda of Huron; four children, Alanna (Kurt Joy) Seidel of Miller, Brenda (Mike) Harvey of Spearfish, Christina (Chad Bult) Yapp of Sioux Falls and Jason Yapp of Sioux Falls; five grandchildren, Haley, Deegan, Shayla, Braeden and Michaela; his mother, Carol Yapp of Alma, WI.; two brothers, Steve (Linda) Yapp of West Bend, WI and Douglas (Joyce Russell) Yapp of Independence, WI; and one sister, Michelle Egland of Lewiston, MN. A visitation will be at 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM Friday, December 14 at the Talbot Family Funeral Home, Alma Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 12pm.
