Grace Mae Heinemann, age 90 of Buffalo City, died on Monday, September 12, 2016 at Lake Winona Manor, Winona, MN. She was born on May 18, 1926 to Gustave and Elizabeth (Fluekiger) Burmeister. Grace enjoyed sewing, traveling, casinos, card games, fishing, gardening and she loved to bake and share her baked goods with others. She had an appreciation for music, but she was especially happy when her son, Leslie played the guitar and sang. Grace was a member of the Buffalo City Homemakers, VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Dr. Martin Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid.
She is survived by and will be greatly missed by her children, Leslie (Linda) Heinemann, Karen (James) Getskow, Kathy Ames, Marla (Donald) Wagner and Kristine (Craig) Shelton; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Roger and Clifford Burmeister; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Merlin, of 55 years; siblings, LeRoy, Lester, Lila, Harry, Pearl, Adolph and Glenise and one granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 16, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Christ Lutheran Church, Cochrane, WI with Pastor Mark Wilde officiating. Burial will follow at Buffalo City Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday at the church from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service.
