Gloria Evelyn Schieche of Alma, WI passed away on Tuesday July 24, 2012 at home with her loving family at her side. Gloria’s journey in life began on August 14, 1925 in rural Alma. She was the oldest of three children born to Walter and Palma (Rutschow) Mueller. She attended various Alma Schools, graduating with the Alma High School class of 1943. On April 1, 1946, Gloria was united in marriage to Milan Schieche at Our Savior’s United Methodist Church in Mondovi. To this union five children were born. Milan preceded Gloria in death on February 2, 1978. Gloria and her husband farmed side by side for nearly 32 years. After the passing of Milan, Gloria continued to farm with her sons, which she was so proud to do. Gloria was very proud to have farmed with her husband and share this experience of working with her three sons. The farm was such a great part of her life. Gloria was a long time, devoted and faithful member of the Montana United Methodist Church. Her last Sunday before joining her Lord and Savior, she wanted to attend worship services. Her love of family was shown by her love to cook, bake bread and prepare meals for them, always with love in her heart. Time spent with her family was a very important part of her life, from reunions to holiday gatherings. Gloria would always care about others and their needs before her own. She will long be remembered for her strong work ethics, love of family and love of her Lord and Savior. Gloria will always hold a special place in the hearts of all those blessed to have known her. She will be sadly missed by her twin daughters Karen (Jerome “Jerry”) Lisowski, Sharon (Donald) Fimian; her sons Kenneth, Randy, and Stanley all of Alma; two step granddaughters Tammy (Paul) Marcks of Durand and Ann (Scott) Risch of Cream and families; two sisters in law, Ruth Mueller and Milda Bautch; brother in law, Owen Smith; also by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides her parents and husband Milan, a brother Elwood “Bud” Mueller; sister Isla Smith preceded Gloria in death. A private family service was held on Friday July 27.
