Gloria Pank, age 71 of Mondovi, formerly of Alma, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2017 at the Mayo Health Systems, Eau Claire. She was born on August 19, 1945 in Arcadia, the daughter of Lester and Marion (Zastrow) Mueller. Gloria lived in the Alma area for many years. She grew up on her parents dairy farm, four miles south of Alma. She graduated from Cochrane-Fountain City High School in May of 1963. Gloria then attended Chippewa Valley Technical College. She married Miles W. Pank, Jr. on July 10, 1965 and to this loving union two children were born. Gloria was employed at the Buffalo County Sheriff's Department and the Buffalo County Court House for many years. She also worked for a few years at Marten Transport in Mondovi before retiring. She was confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church , Alma and was a member for many, many years.
She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Gloria enjoyed playing cards, bingo and quilting with family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Gloria will be sadly missed by her husband, Miles; children, Wendy (Ken) Sobotta of Fountain City and Jeffrey (Dawne) Pank of Fullerton, CA; grandchildren, Nicole Sobotta, Cody Sobotta, Jordan Pank and Jillian Pank; brother, Richard Mueller of Alma; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 11:00 am at St. John's Lutheran Church, Alma. Burial will be held Mill Creek Cemetery. A visitation will be held Friday, June 2, 2017 from 4:00-7:00 pm at Talbot Family Funeral Homes - Alma Chapel and then again at church from 10:00 am until the service time.
