Gloria Mae Loesel Gloria passed January 28, 2019, peacefully with her family by her side at St. Michaels Assisted Living, Fountain City, WI at the age of 89 years, 6 months and 17 day. Gloria was born to Norbert and Violet (Brinkman) Rothering on July 11,1929 in town of Lincoln, Alma, WI. She graduated from Alma High School in 1948. She married Roger Loesel on May 4, 1949 in Alma, Wi. They were married 64 years until his death in 2015. Gloria was member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Alma, Wi. In addition to being a homemaker, Gloria also had several jobs, Cochrane Nursing Home, Buffalo County social services. Caregiver for Randy Rohrer. She also volunteered at the Ye Ole Shoppe, Buffalo City and she was a Girl Scout Leader. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, who lovingly referred to her as “Granny”. They enjoyed cooking, gardening and feeding the ducks around Goose Lake. Dancing was her passion as stated in her high school yearbook prophecy “She’ll dance her way through life, forgetful of cares or strife”. She enjoyed their Sunday road trips, bowling, and her many dogs. Gloria is survived by three sons, Denny (Denise) Loesel, Winona; Terry (Linda) Loesel, Alma, Wi and Mike Loesel, Wabasha, Mn One daughter, Deb Krumholz, Cochrane, Wi. Nine grandchildren, Tom (Joy) Loesel, Ryan (Jessica) Loesel, Chris Loesel, Kelly (Jim) Tague, Jessica (Matt) Sylvester, Angela (Cedric) Stacy, Travis (Liz) Krumholz, Matt (Megan) Krumholz and Nick Krumholz (Natasha Gaffer). 12 + great-grandchildren, her sister Shirley Becker, brothers Galen and Lonnie Rothering, many nieces and nephews and a special lifelong friend Elaine Rohrer. Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband Roger, granddaughter Michelle, son-in-law Tom Krumholz, brothers Duane, Dallas and Roger Rothering, sister-in-law Kay Rothering. Memorial service will be Saturday February 2, 2019 at 3:00 pm with a Visitation one hour before service at Talbot Family Funeral Home, Cochrane, WI. In lieu of flowers please make memorials to St. Michaels Assisted living kitchen remodel, Fountain City, WI, Or to Winona Health Hospice. Celebration of Life will follow the service at the VFW in Cochrane, WI. Pallbearers will be Tom and Ryan Loesel; Travis, Matt, Nick Krumholz; Matt Sylvester.
