Gladys Carol Reinhardt

Gladys Carol Reinhardt, age 88 of Nelson, WI passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Wednesday, August 2, 2023.  Gladys was born November 2, 1934 in Nelson, WI. She was the daughter of Rudolph and Esther (Bast) Breidung.  She grew up in rural Nelson and attended Nelson School.  On August 29, 1953 she married Darrell Earl Reinhardt at Grace Lutheran Church, Nelson, WI.  Gladys raised five children, but still had time to work at the Nelson Hotel for sixteen years.  Gladys loved gardening, cooking, reading books, watching food shows, and Molly B’s Polka Show. Her eyes though would light up when her grandchildren and great grandchildren would walk through the door….

Gladys is survived by her children; Kevin (Sandra) of Nelson, Mark (Cindy) of Durand, Denise Reinhardt, and Neil (Wendy), of Nelson.  Six Grandchildren; Mindy (Tom) Wick, Kelly (Tyler) Anibas, Kayla (Travis Danzinger) Reinhardt, Klinton Reinhardt, Ashley (Austin) Reinhardt, and Alex (Olivia) Reinhardt.  Twelve great grandchildren; Mackenzie, Madalyn, Trevor, Molly, Trent, Austin, Halle, Claira, Taylor, Lilly, Harlen, Haisley, and Kendall.  Sisters, Marjorie Brunkow, and Carol (Barry) Jonson, both of Nelson. Sister in law, Connie Breidung of Nelson, and brother in law, David Larson of Eau Claire.  Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Darrell in November 2008, daughter, Lisa Gerken, granddaughter, Kendra Reinhardt, sister, Sharon Larson, and brother, Allen Breidung. 

A visitation will be at Talbot Family Funeral Home in Alma, WI on Tuesday August 8, 2023 at 4:00PM to 7:00PM.  A funeral service will be at Grace Lutheran Church in Nelson on Wednesday August 9, 2023 at 11:00AM with an hour of visitation prior.  Burial will follow at Nelson Cemetery.
