Francis E. “Frank” Weaver, age 76, of Nelson, passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester.
He was born on February 5, 1941 in Arcadia, WI a son of late Theodore and Edna (Hesch) Weaver.
Frank attended grade school at St. Boniface Catholic School and was a graduate of Arcadia High School.
On October 29, 1966, Frank was united in marriage to Elaine Pilger at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Winona. To this union, three children were born. Elaine preceded Frank in death 1985.
Frank, following graduation began working construction, a trade he worked in until his retirement with Lunda Construction.
He was a past member of the Alma Snow Drifters and was currently a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners.
Frank will be remembered for his love of auto racing, hunting, camping and an avid Wisconsin sports fan along with his well-known meat processing abilities and was able to fix, repair or construct most anything. Many of his projects will remain with his family for years to come.
Frank will be sadly missed by his three children, Peggy Porter of Reedsburg, WI, Betty (Kevin) Glander of Pepin, WI and Wesley (Terra) Weaver of Nelson, WI; three grandchildren, Laura Glander, Gavin and Riley Weaver; also by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Besides his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine; brother, Roger Weaver.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 21, 2017 at 11:00 AM with Tom Elliott officiating. Burial will follow at the Nelson Cemetery, Nelson, WI
A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 20, 2017 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Talbot Family Funeral Home, Alma and again at the church on Monday from 10:00 AM until the hour of the service
