Everell Charles "Buddy" Veraguth

Everell Charles Veraguth, age 85, known to many as “Buddy”, died on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at Mulder Health Care in West Salem while under the care of St. Croix Hospice.

Everell was born on May 24, 1939 in Oak Valley, Buffalo County to Chester and Luella (Schwanke) Veraguth.

Everell was a lifetime member of St. Michael’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Fountain City where he was baptized confirmed and now buried.

Everell was a farm laborer all of his life on the Veraguth farm, until he retired and moved to Fountain City.

He liked old time music, especially Ernie Reck’s polka band, going to Senior meals on the bus and walking around Fountain City.

Everell is survived by his siblings, Janice Ambuhl, Ruth Busse, James (Mary) Veraguth, Lu Ann (Roger) Krause, Jess (Mary J.) Veraguth, Sandy (James) Ramsey and Kathy Frawley; nieces and nephews, Tim (Cindy) Ambuhl, Pamela (Jon) Feucht, Robert (Carolyn) Ambuhl; Valerie Rodden, Dean Busse; Monica Veraguth, Melissa (Richard Cowgill) Veraguth; Christine (Carter) Nichols, Leora Krause, Chris Smith, Carl (Heather Urbanski) Krause; Patrick (Teresa) Veraguth, Lisa, Lisa Braaten, Bradley Veraguth; Michael (Cathy) Ramsey, Heidi (Steve) Grafft, Jennifer (Kurt) Thomas; Thomas and Jessica Frawley.

Everell was preceded in death by his parents; brothers in law, John Ambuhl and Dwaine Busse; nephew, Greg Ambuhl; niece, Roberta Smith; great niece, Olivia Ambuhl and great nephew Travis Smith.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at 2:30 PM at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Fountain City with Pastor Douglas Westenberg, officiating. A visitation will be held at the church on Sunday one hour prior to the service. 

Committal services and burial will be at Fountain City Public Cemetery in Spring.
