Eugene M. Wiater

Eugene M. Wiater, age 70 of Buffalo City, passed away due to several health problems on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at the Tomah VA Hospital, Tomah. Eugene was born on December 4, 1946 in Chicago, IL to the late Frank and Charlotte (Stus) Wiater. He had 10 siblings. Gene got drafted to go into the US Army from 1966 to 1968. He served in the Vietnam War. Gene worked in Marshfield, WI at Weyerhaeuser Door System as a Millwright in the maintenance department until he retired. He also worked numerous other jobs in maintenance in the same plant for 38 years. Gene joy of life was hobby farming, hunting and fishing until his health got bad. He was a very strong and determined person, wanting to live to the end. Eugene will be sadly missed by his wife and love of his life, Bonnie Wiater of 46 years. Gene wished to be cremated and requested no formal services. His cremated remains will be interred at Spooner Cemetery, Spooner, WI. Gene’s wife is asking for everyone’s kindness and respect at this time by not being bothered by any visitation.
