Earl Blum, age 90, of Fountain City, formerly a lifelong resident of Cochrane, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 19, 2015 at St. Michael's Assisted Living of Fountain City.
He was born on November 17, 1924 in Buffalo County, a son of Walter and Elna (Mueller) Blum.
Earl was a longtime and faithful member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Fountain City and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Winona, MN.
Earl farmed his entire life in the Town of Milton, Buffalo County. He loved playing cards and going fishing, especially with his sister.
Earl was a devoted brother and uncle and enjoyed the many special times he had to spend with them.
Earl is survived by his siblings, Ralph (Rita) of Fountain City, Robert (Carol) of Fountain City Mary Lisowski of Arcadia and Darlene (Joseph) Lisowski of Buffalo City; he is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Besides his parents, Earl was preceded in death by his sisters, Betty Ann, and Fern and husband Harold Kiese and brother in law, LaVerne Lisowski, husband of Mary.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Fountain City with inurnment to follow at Fountain City Public Cemetery. A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, at the church from 10:00 AM until the hour of the service.
