Donna Mae Richards- Fjone

Donna Mae Haigh Richards Fjone, age 84 passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 in Ft. Meyers, Florida with husband, Harley Fjone at her side. She was born on May 10, 1931, the youngest of five children born to Arthur and Lenora Haigh. Donna attended and graduated from the Cochrane High School and was always proud to be the homecoming queen. On February 11, 1950, Donna was united in marriage to Russell Richards and together they raised four wonderful sons in New Hope, MN. Donna was a longtime employee of the Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, MN as the surgery scheduler, her career spanned 35 years. She and Russ made their permanent home in N. Fort Meyers, FL in 1992. Russell preceded Donna in death in 2006. It was on October 19, 2010 that Donna married Harley Fjone. Donna will be sadly missed by her husband, Harley, of Ft. Meyers, FL; children, Bruce (Mary) Richards of Oronoco, MN, Mike (Marcia) Richards of Brooklyn Park, MN, Paul Richards of Hopkins, MN and Tom (Brenda) Richards of Plymouth, MN; Harley's children, Lyn Fjone Carlson (Rich) Fort Myers, Fl and Lon Fjone, Hopkins, MN. 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren. Besides her parents and first husband Russell, Donna was preceded in death by her siblings, Galen, Velora, Glen and Arlyn. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 19, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Talbot Family Funeral Home, Alma Chapel with Pastor Joel Bacon officiating. Inurnment will be at Buffalo City Cemetery.
