Donna Marie Fredrickson

Donna Marie Fredrickson age 88, of Mondovi went to her heavenly home on Saturday April 4, 2015. She was born on July 16, 1926 in the Town of Belvidere, Buffalo County to the late Clarence and Orma Lehman. She attended and graduated from Mondovi High School and went on to earn her teachers certificate from Eau Claire Teachers College. Donna taught school at Thompson Valley and lower grades at Sheldon Valley. In 1947, Donna was united in marriage to Maurice Fredrickson. to this union, five children were born. Together, they farmed at Lookout. Donna was a Sunday school teacher, a 4-H leader and served on the Dover Town Board as Clerk. She was a lifetime member of the Homemakers and received the homemaker of the year award in 1979. After moving to Mondovi in 1981, Donna worked for Western Dairyland and Ambu-van. Over the years she make many quilts and comforters which she lovingly shared with her family along with handiwork, flowers and baking. She was devoted fan of the Green Bay Packers, the Wisconsin Badgers and the Milwaukee Brewers. Donna loved her family dearly and was a devoted and faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church in Mondovi where she not only taught Sunday school but was also an active member of the Ladies Society. Donna's legacy will be missed and treasured by her children, Joy (Mike) DeWyre, Holly (Jim) Hesselman and David (Teresa) Fredrickson; daughter in law, Darcy Fredrickson; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Alan (Ruth) Lehman and Carroll (Karen) Lehman; also by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Maurice; dear sons, Jerry and Jon; brothers Kenny and Stan Lehman, along with other significant family members. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 10, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor Paul Woebbeking officiating. A memorial gathering will be held on Friday from 10:00 AM until the hour of the service at the church. A committal service will be at Lookout Cemetery for both Donna and Maurice at 2:30 PM following the luncheon after the service.
