Diane Marie Dienger, age 73, of Plainview, MN a former resident of Buffalo City, WI passed away on Monday, April 25, 2016 at St. Isadore’s Nursing Home.
She was born on February 2, 1943 in Durand, WI a daughter of the late Leo E. and Theresa M. (Bauer) DeWilde.
On August 5, 1961, Diane was united in marriage to David A. Dienger at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Waumandee, WI. To this union, three daughters were born. David preceded Diane in death on May 26, 1999.
Diane and her husband were the owner operators of Buffalo City Standard Station until 1982. She continued to be the driver and manager of Baecker Oil Company. She also drove school bus for the Cochrane-Fountain City School District until 1998.
Diane loved to go on casino trips and play bingo with both family and friends. She was an avid bowler and played many years on various leagues, always as a member of the Judy & Gene’s team. In the past 10 years, Diane became a fan of the Minnesota Twins.
Diane had a sincere and deep devotion and love for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Diane is survived by her three daughters, Brenda (Keith) Hawkins of Rochester, MN, Lisa (John) Averbeck of Bloomington, MN and Lori (Thomas) Copper of DeSoto, WI; 7 grandchildren, Travis (Brandi) Lorenz, Daniel (Sara) Lorenz, Robert (Kasey) Averbeck, Ryan Averbeck, Reese Averbeck, Brittany (Andrew) Kreuser and Bryant Copper; great grandchildren, Jacob Lorenz, Reed and Chase Lorenz; brother in law, Larry Fink; sisters in law, Lillian (DeWilde) Weist and Liz Dienger; also by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Besides her parents and loving husband, David, Diane was preceded in death by her sisters, Patricia Loechler, Arlene Westberg, Gladys Ziesse and Hannah Fink and two brothers, Leo and Charles DeWilde.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Talbot Family Funeral Home, Cochrane Chapel. Burial will follow at Buffalo City Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Saturday at the funeral home from 9:30 AM until the hour of the service.
