Delores Johnson

Delores M. Johnson, age 91, of Mondovi, passed away on the evening of Thanksgiving, November 28, 2024 at the Homeplace of Mondovi where she resided for the past 3 years.

She was born on February 5, 1933 to Henry, Sr. and Mary (Wisenbeck) Weber in Durand. Delores attended and graduated from Mondovi High School with the class of 1951. Shortly following her high school graduation, Delores was united in marriage to Arthur J. Johnson on September 25, 1951 at Trinity of Norden Lutheran Church. To this union, a daughter, Kamilla was born.

Delores started working at the age of 15 as a car hop for Joel’s Drive Inn and she worked at several other places including the Ben Franklin, First National Band and Midwest Gas Company. She later started her own business, Art-Nook Ceramics where she also taught ceramics for over 20 years. After her ceramics business, Delores did homecare.

She was an excellent seamstress and crafter.

Delores is survived by her daughter, Kamilla of Douglas, TX; 4 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; also by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Besides her parents, Delores was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; 4 brothers and a great grandson. 

A memorial service will be held at Trinity of Norden Lutheran Church on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 12:00 PM with Luke Pederson officiating. Inurnment will follow at the church cemetery.  A gathering for friends and family will be held at the church from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service.
