Deb (Evers) Rotering, 50 of Alma, Wi, passed away in her home on October 31st, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. Her strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, and the love and prayers of family, friends and supporters carried her through as she fought a grueling battle with cancer.
Deb was born in Wabasha, MN on August 12th, 1965 to Clarence and Mary (Weisenbeck) Evers. She attended St. Felix grade school and went on to graduate from Wabasha Kellogg High School in 1983.
Deb was married to Randy Rotering on Sept. 6th, 1986. They celebrated 29 years of marriage this fall. Deb and Randy have four children; Hank 24, Olivia 19, Louise 18, and Julia 15.
Deb worked as a quality control supervisor at Uni-Patch for 26 years. She left the company to help Randy on the farm. Deb enjoyed spending time caring for her family, tending her vegetable, flower and bittersweet gardens, creating butterfly houses, sewing, crocheting, watching theatre productions, camping, and attending her children’s school events. She was a 4-H leader and spearheaded many activities such as growing vegetables for the food shelf, and helping children build the Little Libraries visible in our neighborhoods today. Deb volunteered making our community a better place by checking eyes at school, serving on church committees, hosting the Buffalo County Dairy Breakfast, and opening her home for the local Christmas walk. She was an amazing person who taught others generosity, kindness, and determination by her quiet example.
Deb is survived by her husband Randy; children Hank, Olivia, Louise, and Julia; parents Clarence and Mary Evers, Robert and Gladys Rotering; brothers, Steve (Chris) Evers; Todd (Debbie) Evers, sister-in-laws, Sarah Evers, Carolyn (Perry) Thomsen, Becky (Eric) Olson, Beth (Erwin) Rojas, and Lisa (Courtney) Olson; many nieces and nephews, and countless other family and friends.
Deb is preceded in death by her brother Brian Evers; grandparents Hubert and Margaret Weisenbeck, Leo and Catherine Evers and her mother-in-law Sharon Rotering.
We invite you to join us to celebrate the life of Deb Rotering. All will remember her smile, her warmth, her energy, her love for life, family and friends. She made a difference in the lives of many.
