David Lorenz

David William Lorenz, age 55, of Buffalo City, passed away unexpectedly, yet peacefully on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at his home. He was born on May 8, 1961 in Wabasha the oldest of three children born to William and Dorothy (Adler) Lorenz. On July 18, 1987 Dave was united in marriage to Dottie Ammann. To this union, two children were born. They later divorced, but always remained the best of friends. Dave was employed with various companies, most notably, RTP in Winona and Brach’s Candy Factory and lastly with the Cove Restaurant and Bar in Buffalo City. Dave loved to be outdoors where he enjoyed hunting, fishing , 4 wheeling and snowmobiling or just being on the river which he was able to do with his brother, Bob on Tuesday. Dave shared these words to his brother, “this has been a great day”. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends and would love to share an occasional libation with them, especially when he would watch his favorite NFL football team, the Packers or NASCAR a race. Dave will long be remembered for the love of his children, Dustin, his little peewee and Dana, his little Pumpkins, and always put them first in his life…until his grandchildren came into his life for they became his little angels. Dave will be sadly missed by his daughter, Dana (significant other, Derek Williams) Lorenz of Winona; grandchildren, Diamonte, David and Miracle; his parents, Bill and Dorothy Lorenz of Cochrane; his sister, Peggy (Randy) Dienger of Cochrane; brother, Bob (Sherry) Lorenz of Cochrane; nephews, Anthony (Crystal) Dienger and J.B. Schuring and nieces, Trista (Shaun) Mann and Mariah Schuring; and his furry companion, Lucky. Dave was preceded in death by his loving son, Dustin. A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 23, 2016 at 12:00 PM at the Talbot Family Funeral Home, Alma Chapel with Rev. Marcy Heil, officiating. Burial will follow at Buffalo City Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00 AM until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
