Darla Enos

Darla Kay Enos, age 74, of Eleva, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 4 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on August 6, 1950 to Harm and Annabel Harms. 

Darla attended Independence Schools, graduating from Independence High School with the class of 1968.

On June 30, 1969, Darla was united in marriage to Brenton Enos in South Dakota. To this loving union, 3 children were born.

Darla worked at Ashley Furniture in Arcadia for 9 years, before she began a career, which she was proud of and will always be remembered for, at the Eleva-Strum School district as their Cook.

Darla liked quilting blankets, watching sports and mostly, spending time with her family. She will be remembered for her generous and loving heart, especially for her precious grandchildren that she adored and loved beyond words.

Darla will be sadly missed by her husband of nearly 56 years, Brent; children, Kent (Tonya) Enos, Jill (Lonnie) Nichols and Julie (Mike) Palkowski; 5 grandchildren, Kristen Enos (Sam VanBlaricom), Kara Schradle (Zach), Brady Nichols, Abagail Palkowski and Jacob Palkowski; 3 great grandchildren, Waylon, Quinn and Laney; 1 brother, Norwin (Lynn) Harms; brother in law, Leon Whiteford; also by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Besides her parents, 

Darla was preceded in death by her siblings, Bonnie Whiteford, Janice Gunderson, Byron Harms and Jerry Harms.

At the request of Darla, no formal services will be held at this time.

The family requests that any memorials be sent in Darla’s name to the Eleva Lutheran Church.
