Dale B. Peterson, age 63, of Cochrane, passed away at his home with his loving family at his side. Dale was born on April 26, 1955 to Howard and Arlene (Ebling) Peterson-Tullius in Winona, MN. He attended Winona Area Public Schools and graduated from Winona Senior High School with the class of 1973.
On November of 1973, Dale gave of himself as he served and helped to protect our Country as a member of the United States Navy. Dale was honorably discharged in November of 1978. Dale was united in marriage on July 10, 1978 to Andrea L. Husman at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Winona. To this loving union, two daughters were born. In December of 1978, Dale started a career at Dairyland Power Cooperative in Alma. Dale loved high performance cars, especially those equipped with Mopar performance parts. Dale was an active and devoted member of the National Wild Turkey Federation of Wisconsin where he served as President for ten years. Dale's commitment to the NWTF was evident through his instrumental leadership in helping area communities found their own chapters. Dale loved the outdoors and took ever y chance he could to enjoy nature.
Dale will be sadly missed by his beloved wife, Andrea; loving daughters, Jessica (Kerry)Peterson-Bautch of Elk Mound, WI and Jennifer Maier of Winona; special and loving grandchildren, Braden and Calliah; mother, Arlene Tullius; siblings, Dean (Vicky) Peterson, David (Kathie) Peterson, Darvin (Chris) Peterson, Glenn (Lori) Tullius and Beverly (Dean) Harms; nieces and nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Loyal Tullius, Sr.; brother, Loyal Tullius, Jr.; his precious little grandson, Tyson and best friend, Joe Greshik, Jr.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Dale will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 2:00 PM at St. John's United Church of Christ in Fountain City with Pastor Greg Ferriss officiating. Inurnment, at Bohri's Valley Cemetery will be at a later date. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday March 16 from 12:00 PM until the hour of the service at the church. Memorials in Dale's to honor his memory may be sent to Alliance Bank in Cochrane with proceeds going to the Cochrane-Fountain City Scholarship fund. Or Donations directly to St. John's United Church of Christ.
