Clifford Ford

Clifford (Cliff) Ford, age 49, of Mondovi was taken from us too soon on Saturday November 16, 2024 as a result of a tragic motor vehicle accident and fire that followed. Cliff was born on December 12, 1974 in Phoenix Arizona to parents Suzan and Terry Ford. Cliff grew up and spent most of his life in Arizona where he studied Diesel mechanics at Universal Technical institute. Later becoming a foreman in carpentry for over 15 years. Cliff married his wife Heather on October 23, 1998 and are the parents of two sons and two daughters. Cliff was many things. To his family, he was a strong father, always reliant and the backbone of everything. To his friends, he was someone to rely on and trust with anything. He was always willing to help, anyone and everyone. To his parents, he was a strong son, an accomplished carpenter and well-practiced mechanic. Cliff was a man that spent a lot of his time outdoors. From ranching, hunting, fishing, boating, and camping at a young age to having a love for fast and classic vehicles in his teens. He grew up continuing these activities long into his fatherhood. He was a man that never seemed to stand still or keep the outdoors out and the indoors in. He wasn’t only a man who enjoyed the things he did, but he wanted others to, as well. He would invite you to try new things, challenge you to test your comforts because he had assured you, it had all been done before. He could teach you anything and guide you anywhere, and when there wasn't an opportunity, he made it. He was a great father figure, to his children, and to those who knew him. To family friends or even neighborhood children, he would give advice and leadership. He even led neighborhood cleanups. A way of offering strong goals and leadership to children and teens. He was always one to shed strong life skills like perseverance, or motivation and a strong sense of self. He would always say ‘All you have to do is wake up in the morning. No matter what is wrong in life, you just have to wake up and face your day. Once you get going, you'll find the motivation in it.’- Clifford Ford. While he looked like a man rough on the edges and hard to approach, within a few words, he was a guy you could make your friend, no matter your style. He could be a neighbor that fist bumps your son as a friend. He could be a man that fixes your sink for free, in exchange for your company and some homemade salsa. He could be a buddy that would have your back, even in the tightest of situations. He could be a husband to work hard day after day, no matter the toll because he loved his wife and family endlessly. He could be a dad that would be more like a friend, building you a half-pipe because you asked but always teaching you how to fall first. Aside from his duties as a father and friend, he spent his time doing things he loved. Though he worked in carpentry, his true field was being a mechanic. He spent his time in his garage, a mess of parts and scrambled plans, but with action that always proved successful, even in the most stubborn of cars and parts. He could diagnose a car from its sounds or smells. He could fix it cheaper, by hand, with a trick you’d never heard of, all within a day's notice; because if you needed that car running, he would make it. Cars were like puzzles that he loved to solve. Cliff was a leader and a hard worker. He was creative and wild. He was Mr. BBQ and Superman. He was smart with history and mechanics, a problem solver and surprising in ways you wouldn’t expect. He enjoyed his toys and fun. He liked loud music and fast driving. His Harley was his baby, and his BMWs were his passion and continued family legacy projects. Cliff was 28 days from his 50th birthday. He will forever be loved and missed by his family, friends and all that knew him. RIP BogartBob. A Celebration of Cliff’s life will be held at a later date near spring 2025 to allow for family and friends from out of state to attend.
