Charlene Adank

Charlene Carol Adank, age 82, of Cochrane, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter in Medford, MN. She was born on October 22, 1942 in Arcadia, the daughter of the late Raymond and Verna (Weltzein) Maier. On July 25, 1959, Charlene was united in marriage to Lonnie Adank at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Waumandee. To this loving union, 7 children were born.Charlene was a faithful Catholic and was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Waumandee and would also regularly attend St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Alma and St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fountain City. Charlene was a proud and devoted mom to her children and took great pride in raising them with faith and love. After her children began lives of their own, Charlene began cleaning homes and following the retirement of her husband, Lonnie, they operated a traveling gyro stand where they served at many local events and festivals throughout the area. Charlene enjoyed socializing and spending quality time visiting with friends. She also enjoyed singing and dancing, taking long walks, baking and cooking. Although her loss leaves us with a void, it is her love, kindness and the precious memories she leaves that will sustain us for a lifetime. Charlene will be dearly missed by her children, Julie (David) Kalk, Kristie (Ritchie) Heiderscheidt, Scott (Lucy) Adank, Vickie (Frank) Gasner, Jodie (Rana) Adank and David Adank; 16 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren; sister, Carolyn Lisowski; also by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Besides her parents, Charlene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lonnie; infant son, Jeffrey Allan Adank; sisters, Glennis Mae Adank and LaVonne Comero; brothers Myles, Raymond Jr. and Gail.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 6, 2024, at 1:00 PM at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Waumandee, with Father Woody Pace as Celebrant. Burial will follow at the Parish Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Friday, December 6, at the church from 11:00 AM until the hour of the Mass
