Cecil John Hill

Cecil John Hill, age 80, of Mondovi passed away on July 3, 2023 at the Homeplace in Mondovi.

He was born on February 10, 1943 in rural Mondovi, the son of the late Cecil and Theresa (Hageness) Hill.

Cecil married Connie Davis and to this marriage, three children were born.  They later divorced.

During his lifetime, Cecil drove truck and worked as a cement contractor. 

Cecil will be remembered for his mechanical abilities and for his love of stock car racing and 4-wheeling.  One of Cecil’s most treasured times were visiting with his friends at the local restaurants over a cup of coffee. 

Cecil is survived by his children, Chris Hill and Dawn (Jeff) Endle; grandchildren, Cory Hill, Jamie Hill and Melanie Hurlburt; great grandchildren, Isla, Lizzy, Lily, Emery and Remington; brother, Daniel (Debbie) Hill; sister, Beth Hill Kennedy; step brothers, Vern Keck and Lonnie (Ann Marie) Keck; also by a niece, nephews and friends.  Cecil was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil E. Hill and Theresa Thompson; sisters, Marjorie and Marlene Hill, his son, Curtis Hill and step mother, Gladys Hill; and step father, Russ Thompson.

A private inurnment at Riverside Lutheran Cemetery will be held at a later date. 

Scenic Rivers Cremation Center of Mondovi assisted with arrangements.

Cecil's family would like to take this opportunity to send a sincere and heartfelt thank you to the staff and caregivers at the Homeplace and the entire staff at St. Croix Hospice for their loving care given to him.
