Carroll Wayne Enos, age 86, of Eleva, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at his home with his loving family at his side.

He was born on May 22, 1937, the son of the late Edwin J. and Milda (Laehn) Enos.

Carroll attended and graduated from Eleva-Strum High School with the class of 1955.  A year after his graduation, Carroll enlisted in the United States Marine Corps.  He was honorably discharged in 1958.

On June 25, 1960, Carroll was united in marriage to Jane Quale.  To this union, three children were born.

Carroll was employed as a union pipefitter with Grudem Bros. for 20 years.  He then worked for Badger State until his retirement in 2000.

Carroll was a member of Hopland-Moen Eleva American Legion, Post 459.

Carroll was a very talented welder and was known for his precise repair of many props for fishermen over the years.  He could always be found in his shop tinkering and fixing something for himself or for others. Carroll was also known for designing and making charcoal grills, which many people in the surrounding area still use. 

Carroll will be remembered as a caring man with a heart full of giving for those in need.

Carroll will be sadly missed by his wife, Wife, Jane; daughters, Susan (Roger) Brantner of Eleva and Theresa (Robert) McMahon of Eau Claire; 6 grandchildren, Ryan (Kayla) Berge, Nicki (Greg) Erickson, Amanda (Ryan) Larson, Garrett (Brittney) Ellifson, Bailey Ellifson and Robert McMahon, II; 9 great grandchildren, Dalilah Berge, Sidney Erickson, Kennedy Erickson, Evelyn Larson, Lucy Ellifson, Archer Berge Carter Larson, Axel Berge and Vaeda Gain; one sister, Laura (Stanley) Lebakken; also by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Besides his parents, Carroll was preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah Enos and sister, Donna Aiona. 

A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 11, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Eleva Lutheran Church with Pastor Karen Ressel officiating.  Inurnment with full military honors will follow at the Eleva Cemetery.  A visitation will be held on Monday, September 11 from 9:30 AM until the hour of the service.
