Carol Jean Winsand

Carol Jean Winsand, age 81, of Mondovi, WI passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at her residence. She was born on Christmas day of 1931 in Eau Claire, to Arthur and Esther (Struck) Beeson. She attended Mondovi High School, graduating with the class of 1949. On June 11, 1949, Carol was united in marriage to Marshall Robert Winsand. To this union, four children were born. They later divorced. Carol worked at several different businesses in Mondovi, such as Ben Franklin, Poeschel Trucking, Hagness Law Office and with her longest tenure being at the Mondovi Hospital. Carol was a longtime, faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Gilmanton. She served on the ladies aide Dorcas Society, also as a Sunday school teacher, serving as the superintendent, and was a vacation Bible School teacher. Carol’s family will remember her for her wonderful cooking, spending time with the ladies of the red hat society, participating in Green Bay Packers pools and by far her love of shopping on the QVC network. Carol is survived by four children, Vickie Davidson of rural Gilmanton, Karen (Mark) Schultz of rural Gilmanton, Robert (Beth) Winsand of Gilmanton, Beth (Tony) Parr of Hudson; 8 grandchildren, Sean (friend, Lisa) Davidson, Brett (Jamie) Schultz, Ryan Schultz and Brock (friend, Stacy) Schultz, Chastity (Dave) Colby, Robby Winsand, Damon (Kimmy) Parr, Kelsey (friend Joel) Parr; 11 great grandchildren Caleb, Jordan, Lilly, Arianna, Sean Marshall, Alayna, David, Karaline, Chase, Jaycee and Sophia; step father, Clifford M. Anderson of Mondovi; also by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides her parents, her brother, Kenneth Beeson preceded Carol in death. A celebration of Carol’s life will be at Trinity Lutheran Church in Gilmanton at 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM on Saturday January 5, 2013.
