Carol Eva Treu

Carol Eva Treu, age 73, of Alma, passed away on Wednesday, April 04, 2018 at her home. She was born on January 31, 1945 in Marshfield, WI a daughter to the late Herbert and Adele (Harsch) Johnson. Carol attended Columbus Catholic High School in Marshfield and graduated with the class of 1963. She worked in Marshfield and then Milwaukee until her marriage. On May 1, 1971, Carol was united in marriage to Richard Treu in Milwaukee. Carol was a member of the Alma American Legion Auxiliary, Post 224 and the Cochrane-Buffalo City VFW Auxiliary, Post 10406. Carol is survived by her husband of 47 years, Dick Treu, of Alma; her siblings, Barbara Waid, Paul Johnson, Mary (Jim)Sterzinger, David Johnson, Christine Dix, Philip (Judy) Johnson, Margaret (Mark Felker) Johnson and Anne (Ron) Swenson; also by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her sister Jane and her oldest brother, Lt. Charles Johnson killed in action while serving in Vietnam. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Hiawatha Bible Chapel, Wabasha, MN with Jerry McMillin officiating. Inurnment will be at Town of Lincoln Cemetery, Buffalo County. A time of visitation and support will be held from 10:00 AM until the hour of the service.
