Bonnie Jean Williams

Bonnie Jean Williams, age 85, of Mondovi, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Mayo Health System due to complications from a fall at her home.

She was born on February 25, 1939, the daughter of the late Lynn and Gertrude (Olson) Amidon.

Bonnie attended Bennett Valley Elementary School and graduated from Mondovi High School. Following graduation, Bonnie had a desire to experience life beyond Mondovi and relocated to the Twin Cities, where she took a job at a mens clothing manufacturer. Later, she spent time in Chicago to care for her nephew and niece, who lost their parents. Bonnie’s selflessness, love and memories that she provided to them still resonates in their hearts today.

Bonnie married Cliff Buchholz in 1960 and together they had two children, Kim and Rory. They later divorced.

In the late 1990’s, Bonnie was united in marriage to Frank “Vern” Williams. They loved their lives and enjoyed the good times they spent as husband and wife. Vern preceded Bonnie in death on August 2, 2019.

Bonnie worked as a secretary at Buchholz Ford in Mondovi and later began a career as the assistant Clerk for the City of Mondovi.

Bonnie was a member of Central Lutheran Church in Mondovi. She will be remembered for her wonderful cooking and baking abilities, especially her holiday Christmas buns.

As a lady of faithfulness, she led her life with the desire to inspire her children to achieve their dreams… this attribute was even more evident as a grandma. Her grandchildren were her life. Her grandchildren have an honest depiction their grandma, She is and always will be remembered as an awesome grandma and the love she shared with us all will never be forgotten.

Bonnie will be sadly missed by her daughter, Kim Buchholz (Den Conway), son, Rory Buchholz; grandchildren, Tyler Loewenhagen, Brianna (Derek) Marten, Quinn (Joann) Buchholz, Carly (Nolan Seipel) Buchholz; great grandchildren, Avery, Harper and Curtis Marten and Harrison Buchholz; brother, Gary (Judy) Amidon; sister, Cindy Amidon; also, by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Besides her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Vern; sisters, Lenore Paeglow and Carol Walters
