Bobby D. Back

Bobby D. Back, age 77, of Eleva, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 15, 2015 on the farm he was born and raised on. He was born on February 3, 1938 on the home farm, to Roy and Palma (Pederson) Back. Bobby attended Eleva-Strum schools, graduating from Eleva-Strum High School with the class of 1956. Bobby farmed his entire life on the farm he was born on, spent his life on and passed away on, quite simply, farming was Bobby's life. Many have said that the only time you would see Bobby away from the farm was when he would get machinery parts, getting a haircut or having an occasional meal out with his family. He enjoyed fixing machinery and loved his animals, especially his many dogs and cats he would care for over the years. Bobby will be dearly missed by his siblings, Frederick “Fricky” (Janice) Back, Dorothy Hulberg, Romaine “Duxy” (Carol Mock) Back, Wallace “Butch” (Judy) Back, Roy “Jr.” (Terri) Back and Diane (Denny) Falkun; also by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, and last but not least, his special furry companion, Roxy his golden retriever. Besides his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his brother in law, David Hulberg. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Eleva Lutheran Church with Pastor Bob Castro officiating. Inurnment will immediately follow at Eleva Cemetery.
