Bibie Ann Pearson, age 87, of Alma, passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2012 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, MN
She was born on December 11, 1925 in Worthington, MN a daughter of the late William and Mabel (Severson) Langholz. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church, Brewster, MN.
Bibie attended school in Brewster and graduated from Okabena High School. Bibie was active in 4-H as well as the Brewster American Legion drum & bugle corp.
Bibie married George Schadt on October 26, 1947. They had four children. Together, Bibie and her husband farmed near Brewster until his death in 1983. Bibie worked at the Campbell Soup Co. in Worthington for many years. She enjoyed baking and decorating cakes for weddings, graduations and other occasions.
Bibie married Ross Pearson on June 7, 1986 and moved to Alma. She was active member of the Alma Garden Club and the Alma Beautification Committee. Bibie worked for Buffalo County several years as the bus driver, home health aide and volunteer driver.
Bibie continued to stay active with the American Legion Auxiliary. She hardly missed a chance to attend the Okabena Unit meeting. She was active in the 2nd district, serving as the District President in 1979-80. Attending the District, State and National Conventions were always highlights to her.
Bibie was a member of St. Martin’s Lutheran Church in Winona. She also volunteered at Restored Blessings in Winona.
Those left to cherish the memory of Bibie are her husband of the past 26 years, Ross; four children, William (Judy) Schadt of Ewa Beach, HI, Charles Schadt, of Brewster, Kenneth (Kathy) Rosemount, MN and Judith Ackerman of Fairmount, MN; 7 step children and their spouses; 8 grandchildren and their spouses; eleven great grandchildren and 2 on the way; 14 step grandchildren; 6 step great grandchildren and 1 on the way; brother in law Emery (Dee) Pearson; sisters in law, Inger Pearson, Kathy Ludwigson and Iris (Andy) Monda; also by her extended family and friends.
Preceding Bibie in death are her parents, husband George, three siblings, son in law James Ackerman, brothers in law Norman Pearson and Norbert Ludwigson.
A formal prayer service for those family and friends of the Alma and surrounding communities will be held at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, November 20 at the Talbot Family Funeral Home, Alma Chapel with Pastor Richard A. Moore officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until the hour of the service all at the funeral home.
On Wednesday, November 21, at 11:00 AM a funeral service will be held at Bibie’s home church, Trinity Lutheran in Brewster, MN at with Pastor David McDonald officiating.
