Beverly S. Teigen, age 86 of Mondovi passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems-Eau Claire. She was born on November 15, 1929 in Eau Claire, the daughter of Arthur and Margaret (Puschel) Hentschel. Beverly graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School. On June 7, 1947, Beverly was united in marriage to Stanley Teigen at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. To the union, four sons were born. Stanley preceded Beverly in death on July 9, 2008. She and Stanley moved to their present farm in 1958 and resided there ever since. Beverly was a faithful homemaker and worked side by side with her husband as they farmed. She was a member of Drammen Lutheran Church. Beverly enjoyed embroidering, growing beautiful gardens, cooking, attending family reunions and taking her occasional trips to Black River Falls. She will be remembered for her great sense of humor and as a loving and devoted mom, grandma and great-grandma.
She will be sadly missed by her three children, David (Beverly) Teigen, Dennis (Shelly)Teigen both of Drammen and Duane (Vicki) Teigen of Brunswick; eight grandchildren, Amy Teigen, Kelly (Dave) Talmage, Dustin (Jessica) Teigen, Devin (Danielle) Teigen, Wendy (Kirk) Kleinschmidt, Cory (Rebecca) Teigen, Nathan (Heather) Teigen and Nicole (Mike) Johnson; 13 great-grandchildren, Peri, Greyson, Parker, Reeve, Madelyn, Tristen, Trinity, Amber, Chloe, Ben, Charlie Marie, Abigail and Anna; siblings, Audrey Gunderson of Blaine, MN, Barbara (Glen) Bakeman of Indiana and Janice Tyler of Eau Claire; brother-in-law, James (Janice) Teigen of Eleva; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Stanley; son, Dean; grandson, Perry; five sisters, Margaret Mazzone, Fern Bain, Helen Teigen, Sandra Britten and Virginia Lincoln and brother, Arthur Hentschel.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Drammen Lutheran Church, with Rev. Valerie Peterson officiating. Burial to immediately follow at the church cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 pm on Friday at Talbot Family Funeral Homes - Mondovi Chapel and then again at church on Saturday from 10 am until the time of service.
