Bennett L. Seltrecht

Bennett Seltrecht, age 58, of Mondovi, passed away unexpectedly, yet peacefully early Thursday morning of May 23, 2024.

He was born on July 27, 1965.  Bennett attended and graduated from Gilmanton High School with the class of 1983.

On August 25, 1990, Bennett was united in marriage to Pamela Thoeny at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Gilmanton.  To this loving union, two children were born.

Bennett was employed at Ashley Furniture Manufacturing for 26 years, retiring due to health issues.

He enjoyed going to Donna Mae’s Panther Café to have coffee and an occasional “BS” session with his friends. Bennett enjoyed watching Star Trek series, science fiction shows and collecting die cast model cars. He also enjoyed 4wheeling, riding motorcycles, root beer floats and pickled herring. 

 Bennett will be sadly missed by his wife of 33 years, Pam; children, Samantha Seltrecht of Winona and Vincent Seltrecht of Alma; mother, Donna Seltrecht of Gilmanton; sisters, Lynette (Dale) Winsand of Mondovi and Maria “Polly” Spelbring of Morgan, MN; brothers and sisters in law, Bruce (Barb) Linberg of Independence, Emily Thoeny of Alma and Dan (Maxine) Althoff of La Crosse; also by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Seltrecht; father and mother in law, Rodney and Inez Thoeny; sister in law, Joan Thoeny and brother in law, Ed Spelbring. 

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Talbot Family Funeral Home, Mondovi Chapel with Pastor Scott Johnson, officiating. A memorial gathering will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 PM until the hour of the service.
