Arvilla E. (Kaste) Passow, age 81 of Amery, WI formerly of Fountain City, WI, passed away on April 21, 2013 at the Golden Age Manor Nursing Home in Amery. Arvilla Edna Passow was born on December 14, 1931 in Eau Claire, WI, the daughter of Reuben & Lillie (Rossow) Kaste. She graduated from Alma Schools, Buffalo County Normal and then went on to teach at the Jahns Valley School House. Arvilla was united in marriage to Wilbert E. Passow on June 25, 1953. Together they raised four children, Evelyn, Charles, Wanda, & Kristi. She farmed with her beloved husband Wilbert at Spring Valley Stock Farm in Jahns Valley, WI for many years. After she retired from farming, Arvilla became a cook at St. Michael’s Lutheran Home in Fountain City, WI. Over the years, she has made her home in Alma, Fountain City, Clear Lake, and in Amery, WI. Arvilla was active in the Lincoln Home Makers and with the Zion Lutheran Ladies aid. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert; parents, Rueben & Lillie Kaste; brother Orrin Kaste; and grandson, Cody Skalitzky.
