Anton "Tony" Flikkeshaug

Anton “Tony” Flikkeshaug of rural Whitehall, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at his home with his loving family at his side.

He was the son of John and Mary (Cierzon) Flikkeshaug.

On April 15, 1961, Tony was united in marriage to Viola Brooks at Pigeon Creek Lutheran Church.  To this loving union, four children were born.

Tony worked for Christianson Trucking and Peterson Implement before he began a career with the Town of Pigeon, Trempealeau County that spanned 24 ½ years until his retirement.  In retirement, Tony enjoyed working for Abby Van Transport for the Department of Aging and Disability.

Tony enjoyed traveling and staying in cabins wherever the destination may have taken him and also dancing with the love of his life, Viola.  In the most recent times, Tony found great enjoyment spending time with his entire family.

Tony will be sadly missed by his wife, Viola; children, Susan (Ron) Berlin, Richard (Pat) Flikkeshaug, Roger (Penny) Flikkeshaug and Pamela (Ron Kampa) Flikkeshaug; nine grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and one on the way; brother, Frank Flikkeshaug; also by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Tony was preceded in death by his Father and mother, father and mother in law, Brothers Roger, John (Beanie), Merlin; sister Marie Johnson; grandson Zachary Flikkeshaug;  great granddaughter Ella Kensmoe and nephew Alan Johnson.

A graveside service and inurnment will be held at Pigeon Creek Lutheran Cemetery, Pigeon Falls, WI on May 6, 2023 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Greg Offsdahl officiating.

The staff of Scenic Rivers Cremation Center of Mondovi assisted the family with arrangements.
