Amy Lyn (Klimke) Bremer went home to the loving arms of her Heavenly Father on Feb. 19, 2016. She passed away at her home after an 8 year battle with a rare cancer.
Amy was born May 27, 1971 to Allen and Janice Klimke in Fond du Lac, WI. She graduated high school in 1989 and later received a BA degree as a Registered Occupational Therapist at Mt. Mary College in Milwaukee. She worked in the therapy dept. at Franciscan Skemp Hospital (Mayo) in La Crosse for many years. She was always grateful for the many lasting friendships she had with fellow employees.
Amy married her soul mate, William "Bill" Bremer at Christ Lutheran Church in Arcadia, WI on Sept. 4, 1999. They have 5 children who have been the central focus of their lives in spite of grueling struggles with cancer.
Amy is survived by her husband, Bill; children, Morgan (15), Nathan (14), Logan (11), Landan (9) and Nolan (6). She is also survived by her mother, Janice Klimke of La Crosse; brother, Rev. Scott Klimke (Rev. Julia Sprenkel) of PA.; mother-in-law, Charlotte Bremer of Waumandee; aunts, Marci (George) Storey of La Crosse, Judith Mohr of Plymouth, MN and Phyllis (Carl) Seekins of Appleton; uncle, Keith Hamilton of Blair; brothers-in law; sisters-in-law; cousins; nephews & nieces; other relatives and many friends.
Amy was preceded in death by her father, Allen Klimke; paternal and maternal grandparents; aunts, Yvonne Clark and Elaine Hamilton; uncles, Don Clark and Paul Mohr and father-in-law, Neil Bremer.
A celebration of Amy’s Life will be at Christ Lutheran Church, Arcadia, WI, on Monday Feb. 22, 2016 at 11 AM. Visitation will be at Christ Lutheran Church from 4-7 PM on Sun, Feb. 21, 2016 with a prayer service at 6:30 PM. A visitation will take place at 10 AM Monday preceding the service. Internment will take place at a later date.
Amy requested to have memorials be given toward a fund designated for their children.
She felt fortunate to be under the care of Dr. Scott Okuno and Jean Stahl at Mayo in Rochester, MN. Her family would like to extend thanks to the Eau Claire Mayo Hospice for extra ordinary and personal cares during the past 6 months. Her personal nurse was Nicole Hansen.
