Adeline Ovedia (Julson) Bauer, age 84 of Mondovi, WI died on Monday, August 26, 2013 at the American Lutheran Home in Mondovi.
Adeline was born on October 21, 1928, in Modena Township to Ole and Anna (Sandberg) Nelson. After graduating high school, she married her first husband, James A. Julson, on September 7, 1946. They farmed together in Lookout for many years. James passed away in 1971. Adeline eventually found love again with Roman Bauer and they were married on August 10, 1974. They lived in Gilmanton and shared a happy life together until Roman’s death in 1987. Adeline later moved to Mondovi in 2000.
In addition to being a farmer’s wife and devoted mother, Adeline also worked as a bookkeeper at Gilmanton Co-op, Mondovi Implement, and Bee Logging over the years. She was a longtime member of Lookout Lutheran Church and later of Central Lutheran Church. Adeline enjoyed dancing, playing cards, and listening to country music. She enjoyed watching and listening to football games as recently as the fall of 2012. Adeline loved her cats, Jack and Daisy so much that with her care they have been with her about 20 years. Adeline graciously welcomed guests that never left hungry. Beyond all of her other attributes, Adeline will be missed for her positive attitude and the unconditional love she gave her children and everyone around her.
She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Ardyth (Ron) Brenner of Mondovi; son, Loren (LuAnne Olson) Julson of Mondovi; five grandchildren, Wade (Chrissy)Julson of Millville, MN, Jennifer (Wade) Nibbe of Lake City, MN, Julie (Josh Kennedy) Julson of Alma, WI, Barrett (Sarah) Brenner of Mondovi, and Bryant Brenner of Mondovi; twelve great-grandchildren, Misty, Troy, Andrew, Wade, Jr., Kody, Mariah, Glenn, Kenneth, Mason, Tyler, Carson, and Spencer; sisters, Morrell Heck of Mondovi and Susan Sullivan of Lake Geneva; brother, Clayton Nelson of Mondovi; brother in law and sister in law, John and Marian Lunderville of Mondovi, also by nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and dear friends, especially Buck and Elaine Jensen. Adeline was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, James and Roman; sons, Glenn and David; sister-in-law, Betty Nelson; and brother-in-law, Norman Heck.
A visitation will be held at Talbot Family Funeral Homes, Mondovi Chapel on Thursday August 29 from 4PM to 7PM and again one hour prior to the funeral service at Central Lutheran Church, Mondovi on Friday, August 30 at 11AM. Burial will follow at Lookout Cemetery, Town of Dover, Buffalo County, WI. Memorials and condolences may be shared with the family at www.talbotfuneralhomes.com.
